Best Fabric For Medical Uniforms

The Best Fabric for Your Scrubs in Canada

For a pair of clothes that you wear all day and sometimes all night, depending on the tasks at hand, scrubs have to have certain qualities to allow you to function at your best. These qualities include
·         Comfort
·         Easy to wash
·         Wrinkle free
·         Long life spans
·         Easy to iron
·         Easy to dry
·         Should have a good stretch in them
All these qualities are essential because you don’t want your productivity compromised due to something as basic as the quality of your scrubs. Fortunately there are a lot of scrubs in Canada made out of good fabrics. Each fabric pure or a blend has their own pros and cons and depending on these you should decide the fabric of your scrubs keeping in mind your requirement from the scrubs.
The fabrics that you can find in Scrubs in Canada vary from pure cotton, pure polyester, Rayon, Cotton- Polyester blend, Rayon-Polyester blend. Each of these fabrics requires a different type of care for long lasting color and life.
100% Cotton Fabric
100% cotton is the most comfortable of all the fabrics. Its soft as butter and allows for easy passage of air through it. Cotton scrubs last long and their colors also last longer. It will not make you hot and sweaty as the fabric absorbs perspiration.
On the other side cotton scrubs wrinkle quicker than other fabrics, they also cost more and take longer to dry which cuts into your resources such as time and money.
Fabric made out of a Cotton-Polyester Blend:
Most of the scrubs that are sold and demanded more are these blends. There are two types of blends available in the market. The 65% polyester-35% cotton blend and the 55% polyester and 45% cotton blend. The 45% cotton blend is softer than the 35% cotton blend but basically other than minor differences these two are almost same.
These blends are preferred because they are affordable, dry quicker and wrinkle less. Even taking care of them is easier and simpler.
100% Polyester Fabric
100% polyester scrubs are wrinkle free, feel like silk, dry quickly but the fabric isn’t breathable which will leave you hot and stuffy in your clothes.  But nurses who need a stretchy material prefer 100% polyester or a blend.  These are considerably low cost but care ahs to be taken while ironing these as they tend to melt under high heat.
Fabric made out of a Rayon-Polyester Blend:
As this blend is made from wood, it is a renewable source of material. It can be dyed into any color and gives the wearer a huge variety of colors. It feels like silk and is also a very affordable fabric. The advantage here compared to 100% polyester is that this material is comfortable, highly absorbent and will not make you sweat and feel stuffy. This blend makes scrubs which are cool to the touch and will help keep you cool in the warm seasons.
Each of the fabric ahs its own qualities but the question here is which fabric meets your requirements and that will be the fabric which will help you stay alert and comfortable all day. Here ‘Scrubdepot.ca’ is an online shop which provides scrubs in Canada in all of these fabrics in many designs and variety of colors.
